Built for the 1958 Brussels World Fair. Represents an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times. The top sphere has a restaurant and panoramic view. Has 9 spheres connected by escalators. Originally meant to be temporary but became a beloved landmark. The tubes connecting spheres contain the longest escalators in Europe.
