Changed from church to mosque to museum and back to mosque. The dome is 31 meters in diameter. Was the largest cathedral in the world for 1,000 years. Survived earthquakes that destroyed many other buildings. The interior has gold mosaics covering 4 acres. Minarets were added when it became a mosque in 1453.
