About Mount Nemrut

Giant stone heads of gods sit atop a 2,134 m mountain. Built by King Antiochus I as his tomb. The heads have been detached from their bodies by earthquakes. Combines Greek, Persian, and Armenian deities. Best seen at sunrise when the stones glow gold. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
