Discovered in 1974 by farmers digging a well. Over 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots, and 670 horses. Each soldier has unique facial features. Built to protect Emperor Qin Shi Huang in the afterlife. Originally painted in bright colors that faded upon exposure to air. The emperor is buried in an unexcavated tomb surrounded by mercury rivers.
