Called Mosi-oa-Tunya (The Smoke That Thunders) by locals. 1.7 km wide, the largest curtain of falling water in the world. Spray rises 400-800 meters and is visible from 50 km away. David Livingstone named it after Queen Victoria in 1855. Creates its own microclimate of permanent rain forest. During flood season, 500 million liters per minute pour over the edge.
