About Gateway Arch
The tallest arch in the world and the tallest human-made monument in the Western Hemisphere. Designed by architect Eero Saarinen to honor the westward expansion of the United States. Clad in stainless steel. Its height and the width between its legs are equal. Small tram cars carry visitors to an observation deck at the top.
